Kitten Contract

Please Read, Initial all sections and Sign Kitten Contract below

  1.                Buyer agrees to responsibly care for this bengal cat providing food, shelter, healthy and a stimulating environment, medical attention when required, exercise and most importantly affection. It is agreed that this cat will be kept indoors. Roaming free outdoors is prohibited. Outdoor activities are approved within a closed catio environment or leashed

  2.                Said kitten or cat is guaranteed to be free from congenital defects, HCM and genetic diseases for a period of one year from date of sale. In the event that this cat is found to have a congenital defect/disease and it is substantiated with proof by a licensed veterinarian and verified with breeder’s own veterinarian:

        A. The cat may be returned to breeder for a replacement of equal quality,

        B. No refund or replacement will be given for any cat that has been bred or produced a litter (purebred or otherwise). If there is a question of whether the cat has been used for breeding, buyer agrees to grant breeder full access to all veterinary records.

  3.                It is recommended this cat/kitten to be examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 5 days of arrival in order to validate your Health Guarantee. If it is found to be medically deficient with an untreatable or life-threatening problem, it must be reported to the seller immediately. An impartial resolution will be agreed upon determination of said medical deficiency. No cash refunds. The cat/kitten cannot be returned if it has been exposed to another cat which has not been currently tested for FeLV and FIV.

  4.                It is agreed that no kittens from said cat purchased will be sold to animal brokers, pet shops or their agents. All kittens will be sold with registration papers, health guarantee and cannot be sold in "litter-lots". The cat is never to be bred to an unregistered or mixed breed cat. If such a breeding takes place, the cat and all kittens will be surrendered to breeder.

  5.                The seller is not responsible for pyometra in a female cat.

​

  6.                This cat has been determined by the breeder to possess qualities or pedigree beyond the definition of Pet. The said kitten has been deemed to be of either breeder or show/breed quality unless otherwise disclosed.

  7.                If you have chosen a bengal of show or pet quality Purchaser is to spay/neuter said kitten by 6 months of age. Seller will surrender to Purchaser said kitten’s TICA registration documentation upon proof of spay/neuter from a licensed veterinarian. Failure to provide proof will result in the forfeiture of said documentation

  8.                Buyer agrees to isolate this cat from other pets for a period of fourteen days.

​

  9.                Any disagreements resulting from the purchase of this Bengal will not be published by buyer, seller or their associates on social media or on any internet platform.

​

 10.                Any disagreements pertaining to this contract which require litigation shall take place in Knox County in the state of Maine. Purchaser shall be responsible for all legal fees inclusive of said fees from the Sellers representation.

​

 11.                With signatures from the Purchaser and Nor’Easter Bengal this contract is final, indicating agreement of all terms located above.. Breach of contract will result in cancellation of said transaction, and repossession of the Bengal by Nor’Easter Bengal without refund. The purchaser will also be responsible to relinquish a fee of $5000.
